Overview

Your Mid Luxury Safari Package takes you first from Nairobi to Lake Nakuru and then to the Masai Mara. Afterwards you will return to Nairobi, then optional from Nairobi Wilson Airport to Mombasa, on to Diani Beach or Watamu.This safari is suitable as a follow-up safari after a holiday at Diani Beach before the return flight, as well as a first safari before a beach holiday.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru National Park
Marco Polo Safaris representative will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel or at the airport. Then you will depart Nairobi and drive through the Great Rift Valley escarpment en-route to Lake Nakuru a 2 Hours drive, arriving in time for a morning game drive. Proceed to your lodge for check in and lunch. Afternoon game drive across the Pink Lake often referred so due to it’s great masses of Flamingos and Pelican Birds, but currently due to climate changes and high water levels, only few can be seen. Then Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge or Flamingo Hills Tented Camp.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara National Reserve
Early morning breakfast. After breakfast leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara, passing through Narok town, the famous Masai town. Then proceed to Masai Mara National reserve a 5 Hours drive , arriving in time for Check in lunch at Camp or Lodge. Afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lion, Cheetah, Elephant, Buffalo and other members of the Big five. Dinner and overnight at Fig Tree Camp or Oloshaiki Camp or Olumara Camp. Other alternative accommodation in the Masai Mara are: Mara Governor’s Camp ; Royal Mara Safari Lodge ; Ashnil Mara Camp ; Karen Blixen Camp

Day 3: Masai Mara
Early morning game drive before breakfast , return to your camp for full breakfast. After breakfast full day is spent in the park with packed lunch boxes in search of its popular residents, predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo and the dangerous Crocodiles with a visit to Mara river. Later meals and overnight in your Masai Mara Lodge or Masai Mara Camp.

Day 4: Masai Mara – Nairobi or Diana Beach
Early Morning breakfast at your camp. Then check out of the camp and drive to Nairobi. Then afterwards drop off at your respective hotel or at the Airport. (For Mombasa/Diani Beach guests, they will be transferred to the Airport for Flight to Moi Airport – Mombasa or Ukunda Airstrip – Diani Beach).

Optional to our clients with evening Flights:- if you have evening flight you can do more game drive with packed lunch till around 12:00hrs lunch time and afterwards drive to Nairobi, arriving in Nairobi at around 5 to 6 pm drop off at Airport or back to your hotel.
