When is the best time to visit the Masai Mara?
Wildlife is excellent all year, but the Great Migration usually arrives around July and peaks between August and September, with river crossings continuing into October. The dry season (June–October) also gives the clearest game viewing. Green-season months bring fewer visitors and lower rates.
How do I get to the Masai Mara from Diani?
The quickest way is by air. We pick you up from your hotel, fly you from Ukunda or Mombasa over Kilimanjaro, and you land in the Mara around late morning, ready for a game drive. By road from Nairobi, it takes about 5 hours through the Rift Valley to the main gate.
